This was a great summer for visiting relatives. In July, we drove to Moorhead, MN where nephew Jason Vukelic and Fran Tobin celebrated their wedding vows with a reception unlike any other I've ever attended. Jason plays guitar and sings with a band out of the Twin Cities. So does Fran, except hers is a different band than Jason's. At the reception, Jason's band played on a stage above the bar. So as not to alienate the elder members of the audience too soon, the band played several songs from the 60s and 70s. I was honored to be asked to join them to sing harmony on The Beatles' "I Feel Fine."
Fran joined the band for a couple of the oldies numbers.
Grandma Irene, Jaylia, Mere, and Pam were part of the large crowd in attendance.
