Reed had a little trouble getting from Fort Bragg to Bismarck for Christmas. His Honda made it from post near Fayetteville to Raleigh, NC, but there it died.

Above, Reed gets ready to take his "new" Honda Accord off the lot in Bismarck. It made it to North Carolina with minimal trouble. It now joins the green Ford truck and the blue Rice Rocket Honda Prelude in what will undoubtedly be a long line of vehicles literally driven to extinction by our son.
Reed was home long enough to learn all over again what real winter is like. Despite the fact that he was still wearing a "boot" to support his mending foot, we manage to get some work out of him during his two weeks of leave.

Here, Reed dismantles a hide-a-bed we've had since the first months of our marriage 25 years ago. Earlier in the week, he helped me get a load of firewood from his Uncle Neil.
