Reed has spent many hours with some friends, Mike and Anja, whom he met on post in Bamburg. They are German natives who were friends with another soldier stationed there; that is how they met Reed. Recently, Reed, Mike, Anja, and their neighbor, Marco, toured some castle ruins in southern Germany.

This plate once graced a Honda Prelude Reed drove and occasionally slept in as a teenager in Bismarck. Reed will return to the states in late February and be stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
