The local Sons of Norway chapter celebrated Syttendemai one day early, on Sunday, May 16 and there was a large turnout at the Sons of Norway Park in Bismarck.  It was potluck and I made a return trip to the dessert table because the Norskies sure know how to bake.

There was a short program during which roses were given to the survivors of Sons of Norway members who died in the previous twelve months.

Pam accepts a rose in memory of Firemann.

The Sons of Norway chorus sang a few songs.

Hank Wisness honored some members of the lodge, Arne and June Sakshaug, for their contributions to the park.  Hank and Firemann were very good friends.
