It all started when Reed emailed us that the pillow cases available from the Army did not fit the pillow he bought at the PX. Knowing Pam was handy with a Serger, he asked if she would sew him a pillow case. She did and he liked it; so did other members of his squad. "Could you make some more for them?" he asked. She did.
Then, Pam got the idea that this could be a worthwhile project for interested students and adults who might volunteer their time, effort, and/or money. It took off. Soon, several friends and relatives offered to pitch in. One of them contacted the Bismarck Tribune leading to the article below.

Pam drafted and has made several copies of the flyer below. Feel free to print and distribute. There is no time limit for sewing the pillow cases [at least not so long as we have troops in Iraq].
