Reed looks at a scrapbook of our trip to Europe last October.

Mere and I take a spin on the Yamaha scooter I inherited from my Dad.  It was purchased in 1983 and has less than 1700 miles on it.  Vroom! Vroom!

Last Christmas, Mere and I started a batch of wine from a kit Pam bought me.  It was ready for bottling in May.

Mere cleaned the bottles and watched as I filled one of them with Chardonnay.

Reed uses the handy-dandy corker to close each bottle.

The finished product, or some of them, anyway.

Mere catches up on her email.

The night before Reed left for his return flight [Bismarck to Denver, to Dallas, to Shannon, Ireland, to Kuwait, and into Iraq] we had dinner at Grandma Irene's.  It was delicious and we had a good time chewing the fat.  I think we were talking about our children's automotive mishaps when this photo was taken.
