Everything old is new again

The Vukelics hosted their fourth annual dinner party featuring a Roarin' Twenties theme.

The invitation

Carol, Shannon, and Lisa vamp for the camera

Brad, Darryl, Jim, and Jack try to look tough.  Notice the spats worn by Brad.  Darryl's guitar case was "loaded," not with illegal weapons but equally illegal "jackleg" (a 20s term for moonshine).

After a sumptuous meal of pheasant with all the trimmings, Pam presented a flan for dessert.  Somewhat like a cheesecake with a caramel glaze, it was adorned with edible pansies.  Yum!

While the brain cells were still operational, teams of three tested their skill in matching slang terms from the 20s with their definitions.  Team A won, very narrowly.

Team A:  Carol, Darryl, and Brad

Team B:  Lisa, Jack and Shannon
