Plenty of rain in the badlands over the past two weeks enticed Jack and I to head west for a photo shoot June 5-6. We got to the South Unit of Teddy Roosevelt National Park in mid-morning, found a good campsite next to the Little Missouri and started our tour.

The weather cooperated with blue skies and fluffy white clouds.

Parts of the park have been overtaken by these rodents. "I'm alright...nobody worry 'bout me."

The elusive toadstool

Jack zeroes in on some plant life.

The deer looked a little ragged this time of year.

Just one of the nice overviews from the 36-mile loop that runs through the South Unit.
