Believe it or not, our front yard was devoid of snow in late March.  After a bitterly cold winter with near-record snowfall, we welcomed an early Spring.  And then ...

We got dumped on twice within 10 days, the latter blizzard dropping 16" of the white stuff.

There wasn't much to do but stand around and look at the white, white, white.

Even the metal bird in Eagle Park seemed poised to get outta here.

This guy was suspicious of me.

Eventually, he came closer to check me out.

Turns out, he was a she.

The playground behind Cathedral Elementary School was empty on this Saturday.  But I knew Spring had finally arrived when I saw flocks of geese heading north.  For some reason, a couple of our fine, feathered friends liked the looks of the brackish "pond" in our back yard.

I'm not sure if these guys read my blurb last year and decided to check it out for themselves.

Soon enough, people will be enjoying the outdoors again.  My spousal unit bought this used cycle but has to pass the driver's test before she can cruise on it.  I'll keep you posted.
