I gave a workshop in Palm Springs, California in early December.  We stayed on the top floor of the Wyndham Hotel which afforded a nice view to the south as the sun rose over the mountains.  The city sits in the Coachella Valley and is surrounded by the Little San Bernardino Mountains to the north, the Santa Rosa Mountains to the south, and the San Jacinto Mountains to the west.

Pam took a day off from her teaching responsibilities and joined me a for a long weekend.  On Thursday night, artisans pay to display their crafts and wares on a street downtown.  We finished a great meal and then walked off a few calories checking out the displays.

This hot rod doubles as a golf cart.  There were several golf courses in the area and residents often use carts as their major form of transportation when they live near the links.
