This photo was taken in one of the many shops lining the main square in Old Town, Albuqerque, New Mexico.

While I was giving a presentation to the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Pam drove north to Santa Fe where she took two cooking classes.

Pam observes as the chef/instructor makes a tasty sauce.

The town of Ruidoso is up in the high plains of south central New Mexico.  Reminded me a bit of the Black Hills and Payson, Arizona.  The town has grown tremendously in the past 10 years according to one local and is quite a tourist Mecca.

In nearby Cloudcroft, there is a hotel called The Lodge.  It is a stately old mansion where Judy Garland [nee Frances Ethel Gumm] and Clark Gable carved their names into a wall of the hotel's tower.  We ate at Rebecca's, the lodge's restaurant, named for the resident ghost, believed to have been a chambermaid in the 1930s who was killed by her lumberjack lover.
