Law School Graduation 2010

Commencement speaker at graduation was Mary Maring, a justice on the North Dakota Supreme Court.  Her address featured some self-deprecating humor, personal stories, and inspiration for the new graduates.  She said she knew many of the graduates had not found employment yet and encouraged them to do pro bono work before their lives become too hectic.  After the speech-making, the 72 graduates, about half of them women, strode across the stage to get "hooded."

A congratulatory hug from Mom

Three amigos [Is there a different Spanish word for female amigos?]: Megan, Mere, and Mikayla--Hey! That's alliterative.

Most of the graduates and their families met for brunch at the Student Union.  While a drum group sang an honor song, the graduates formed a receiving line.  Mere is congratulated here by Mikayla's mom.

The whole family.

No more classes to skip, I mean attend--now there's only the bar exam to fret over.  Mere has an apartment in Mandan and is getting settled.
