Lovin' it at Lambeau

For years, I yearned for the opportunity to watch the Pack play in Green Bay.  Fortune smiled on me this year.  A call from an old friend (well, he's not that old), Howard Van Bruggen, set the wheels in motion.  He had two tickets to the Vikings-Packers game at Lambeau, December 30th.  Was I interested?  I gave a prayer of thanks, said something about wild horses, and got to work.

Within hours, I had a flight booked and a room reserved (no small feat as 60,000 fans fill up Green Bay's hotels and motels in a hurry).  The tailgating starts early in Green Bay, regardless of the weather.  We parked within six blocks of Lambeau Stadium about two hours before kickoff.  The stroll to the gates was marked by colorful fans of all stripes.

Howard, a Vikings fan, posed in front of one of the few Vikings vehicles parked near Lambeau Field.  Unlike Packers-Vikings games at the Humphrey Dome in Minneapolis where about 1/3 of the fans were Packer Backers, the Vikings fans filled less than 5% of the seats at Lambeau.

These tail-gaters were from Fargo

There's no telling where this odd couple was from

There were fans of all stripes (and kilts)
