It was late October so the Halloween theme was ubiquitous in downtown Vegas.

One particularly revolting "attraction" outside a casino was the mock electrocution chamber.  As red bulbs pulsated, white light flashed, and smoke filled the chamber, the manikin in the chair bolted upright, jerked uncontrollably for a few seconds, then slumped forward.  Great entertainment for the kids, eh?

No wonder they call this Sin City.

Some scary ice cream

This guy played on Fremont Street last Spring, also.  His wagon, where his cds are for sale, touts that he practices "safe sax."

Jonathan Shi was still plying his trade on Fremont Street.  Pam suggested I sit for a sculpting session.  I demurred until convincing her to join me.

It is a bit unnerving to sit for 20-25 minutes while people watch your head being sculpted.

At one point I asked Jonathan if he would have enough clay to make my nose.  He replied, in all earnestness, that in China a big nose is a sign of great wealth and power.  That made me laugh.

Next, Pam sits a spell, too.
