'Twas the week before Christmas when a call came to the house. [And I can't rhyme anything with "house" so I'll just tell it straight out.]

A reporter from KFYR-TV in Bismarck saw Pam's article in the Inspire magazine and wanted to do a feature on traditional holiday baking. Pam called her Dad, my Mom, Meredith, and our nieces, Jenna and Jaylia, to see if they were willing to participate. All were media-shy but agreed.

Pam set out some of the finished product. Firemann, who would reprise his krumkakke-making role, is shown [barely] on the left of the photo.  Pam made rosettes.

Mom brought her sugar cookies and her granddaughters started decorating.

The news reporter, Jody Kerzman, is married to a man from Mott and she commented on how many people from that fine burg she had met in Bismarck. While the camera was rolling, the doorbell rang. It was Denis Friedt [from Mott] who now works for Melroe Bobcat in Bismarck.  All roads lead to Mott.

Jody attaches a microphone to Jenna's sweater in preparation for the segment.

"Action!" From all reports, the segment went well. Jody and her cameraman were in our house for an hour. The finished product, to be aired at 5:00 and 10:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 28, will be much shorter, we're sure.
