Grant County is typically a quiet, peaceful place to live but things got a bit out of hand last year in New Leipzig. As a result, one man was charged with aggravated assault. The jury did not deliberate long; in fact, I believe they set a record for the county by returning a verdict in less than 30 minutes. Sentencing followed a few months later.

I was
very pleased with the cover design and thorough editing job done by the
publishers, Volcano Press. At a recent meeting of the Alliance for
Children's Justice committee, the Chair handed out a review she had read about
the book; her handwriting appears at the top. The author of the review,
Joan Zorza, is a recognized expert
in the field of domestic violence and a prolific writer. Here is what Ms.
