These men [no women participated in this year's extravaganza] pose on the deck of The Links of North Dakota clubhouse. The course is situated on the north shore of Lake Sakakawea [not Sacagawea]. Temps were in the high 90s, the rough was thick, and our shots errant.
Some held it together in the brisk winds. For example, my buddy Jason who traveled all the way from Albuquerque just to take part, earned a plaque for taking first place, with yours truly, in the best-ball matches on Saturday. Jason does the "grip and grin" with Scott after a fine meal at the El Rancho restaurant.
Nick got a plaque for closest to the pin.
On Sunday, we had a scramble tournament. Our team took first place.
Nick's team was second.
And Scott's team got what the little birdy shot at--nichts, nada, zippo. Scott is pictured here holding his imaginary trophy.
